Artificial Intelligence

  • It is composed of two words Artificial and Intelligence,
where Artificial defines “man-made” and intelligence defines “thinking power”, hence AI means “a man-made thinking power”. So, we can define AI as:
  • “It is a branch of computer science by which we can create intelligent machines which can behave like a human, think like humans, and able to make decisions.“
  • Artificial Intelligence such as learning, reasoning, and solving exists when a machine can have human-based skills problems

Why Artificial Intelligence?
Before we start exploring the Artificial Intelligence, we should know what is the importance of AI and why should we learn it?
Following are some main reasons to learn about AI:

  • With the help of AI, you can create such software or devices which can solve real-world problems very easily and with accuracy such as health issues, marketing, traffic issues, etc.
  • With the help of AI, you can create your personal virtual Assistant, such as Cortana, Google Assistant, Siri, etc.
  • With the help of AI, you can build such Robots that can work in an environment where survival of humans can be at risk.
  • AI opens a path for other new technologies, new devices, and new opportunities.

What Comprises of Artificial Intelligence?

With all the excitement and hype about AI that’s “just around the corner”—self-driving cars, instant machine translation, etc.—it can be difficult to see how AI is affecting the lives of regular people from moment to moment. What are examples of Artificial Intelligence that you’re already using—right now?

At ARMIET, the AI Research and Advisory, we work with ambitious enterprise leaders to develop powerful AI strategies and find high-ROI AI projects. While this often implies examining the AI initiatives of their peers, new AI use-cases and application ideas can come from consumer technologies as well – and that’s the focus of this article.

Department of Computer Engineering was established for Bachelor of Engineering with an intake of 60 students in 2008. The department expanded by introducing the Master in Engineering course with an intake of 18 students in 2012. It has an excellent infrastructure and is approved by University of Mumbai, DTE, and AICTE.. The department has 10 laboratories equipped with the latest software and technologies. The department has stable, highly qualified and experienced staff members.

Computer engineering, one of the most rapidly growing fields today, helps us to solve modern engineering problems using design, development and application of digital and computer-based systems. Computer Engineering provides the opportunity to work in the continuously changing technology sector. It also helps to equip our graduates with the knowledge and expertise to contribute significantly to the knowledge and information industry and to continue to grow professionally.

It promotes open source software development and its student’s have been closely involved with such development projects.

Computer Engineering students study the design of digital hardware and software systems. It encompasses a wide range of topics including operating systems, computer architecture, computer networks, robotics, artificial intelligence and computer-aided design. Students are trained both quantitatively and qualitatively during the lab session that enhance their understanding and helps further to motivate them to taking projects and proves as a helping hand to do their projects efficiently

Alamuri Ratnamala Institute of Engineering & Technology, Shahapur, Thane, ARMIET, was established in 2007 and the Department of Civil Engineering was established in 2009. The department has an excellent infrastructure and is approved by University of Mumbai, DTE, and AICTE. It has got intake of 60 students in First Year as well as another additional intake of 60 students in Direct Second Year.

The Department of Civil Engineering at ARMIET has developed laboratory for Engineering Mechanics, Strength of Materials, Building Materials & Construction, Surveying, Concrete Technology, Fluid Mechanics & Hydraulics, Transportation Engineering, Geo-Technical Engineering, Engineering Geology and Environmental Engineering. The Department is also planning to offer consultancy services in the concerned fields, very soon.

Department of Civil Engineering is headed by Mr. Asif Khan along with a team of highly qualified, dedicated faculty. Department is also conducting various Seminars, workshops, etc. to have good industry institute interaction to provide our students industrial exposure.

The department of Electrical Engineering at ARMIET offers a best in-class foundation to expert level education and training in Electrical Engineering leading to the renowned and respected Bachelor of Engineering (B.E) degree. B.E in Electrical Engineering from ARMIET opens all the imaginable doors for you which never existed earlier. It’s a passport which will help you start at ARMIET and go anywhere!

The department aims to facilitate the development of industry ready graduates who are not only trained but very well educated and confident in the little details of electrical engineering. Aim is to develop each student with robust repertoire of professional skills to give each student – wings to fly.

At ARMIET, the Electrical and Computer Engineering have been treated as two separate departments but whilst education the next generation of graduates in electrical engineering, the computer department is used extensively to keep the curriculum extremely cutting-edge and next generation.

A student studying this degree program with us will be provided with an opportunity to constantly mix and match the modules to keep his interest areas focused right at the center. Hence, flexibility is something which we very seriously provide.

Faculty members have been selected via rigorous selection procedures from all over India. The teaching staff members have one thing in common which is – they are researchers in their own areas and they have an absolute command over the topics they teach. In addition to academic achievement, most of them have spent ample time in industries which has helped them in building network extensively. This is utilized at ARMIET in terms of arranging internships, seminars, guest lectures and on-campus recruitment.

If you are ready to dare beyond the average then you are invited to explore ARMIET and start your journey, right here, right now!

Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering (EXTC) involves researching, designing, developing and testing of electronic equipment used in various systems. Electronics and Communications engineers also conceptualize and oversee the manufacturing of communications and broadcast systems.

This stream of engineering deals with analogue transmission, basic electronics, microprocessors, solid-state devices, digital and analogue communication, analogue integrated circuits, microwave engineering, satellite communication, antennae and wave progression. It also deals with the manufacturing of electronic devices, circuits, and communications equipment.

Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering department at ARMIET College of Engineering is committed to develop competent engineers ready to solve real – world problems related to the field of electronics and communications. The department has always been on a high growth path and has experienced and dedicated faculty members with a strong devotion in the field of engineering education.

Information technology (IT) is the branch of engineering dealing with the use of computers and telecommunications, developing and maintaining systems as well as retrieving, storing and transmitting information. The branch is responsible for the efficient operation of IT services and infrastructure; leading the corporation in the use of Information Technology as a strategic asset.

IT provides value to the corporation by enabling departments to provide service to citizens through the use of technology. The emerging needs of the corporation are addressed through IT planning and innovation.
