Welcome to the Department of Civil Engineering at ARMIET. We started Diploma in Civil Engineering from 2013 with 60 intake capacity. Our aim to provide students with a perfect blend of intellectual and practical experiences that helps them to serve our society and address a variety of needs.
Civil Engineering is the broadest of the engineering fields essentially dealing with roads and highways, railways, bridges, tunnels, airport runways and terminal, all kinds of structures, water supply, sewerage systems, irrigation canals, dams, power plants, disaster management etc. It therefore focuses on planning, development, design, construction and maintenance of the entire physical infrastructure required for sustainability of the society.
This course provides the knowledge of fluid mechanics, building materials, surveying, building planning, structural analysis, engineering geology, concrete technology, environmental engineering, geotechnical engineering, structural engineering, transportation engineering, water resources engineering, surveying, and construction engineering. Infrastructure in India is going to be developed at large scale and high pace in the next coming years.
Our Laboratories have been very well established not only to cover complete syllabus but to motivate students to learn beyond the syllabus which definitely develops complete knowledge of the subject (both the practical and theoretical). We also conduct various Value Added program and workshops with hands-on experience like 3D Printing, Robotics, and Solar Energy etc.

Program Outcomes (POs)
PO.1-Basic and Discipline-specific knowledge: Apply knowledge of basic mathematics, science and engineering fundamentals and engineering specialization to solve the Civil engineering problems.
PO.2-Problem analysis: Identify and analyze well-defined Civil engineering problems using codified standard methods.
PO.3-Design/ development of solutions: Design solutions for well-defined technical problems and assist with the design of systems components or
processes to meet specified needs.
PO.4-Engineering Tools, Experimentation and Testing: Apply modern Civil engineering tools and appropriate technique to conduct standard tests
and measurements.
PO.5-Engineering practices for society, sustainability and environment: Apply appropriate technology in context of society, sustainability,

PSO.1- Construction Planning and Designing: perform optimal civil engineering planning and designing activities of desired quality at optimal
cost
PSO.2- Construction execution and maintenance: execute civil engineering construction and maintenance using relevant materials and
equipment.
Alamuri Ratnamala Institute of Engineering & Technology, Shahapur, Thane, ARMIET, was established in 2007 and Diploma in Civil Engineering was established in 2013. It has got intake of 60 students in First Year.
The Department of Civil Engineering at ARMIET has developed laboratory for Engineering Mechanics, Strength of Materials, Building Materials & Construction, Surveying, Concrete Technology, Fluid Mechanics & Hydraulics, Transportation Engineering, Geo-Technical Engineering, Engineering Geology and Environmental Engineering. The Department is also planning to offer consultancy services in the concerned fields, very soon.
Department of Civil Engineering is headed by Mr. Prathmesh Vilas Patil along with a team of highly qualified, dedicated faculty. Department is also conducting various Seminars, workshops, etc. to have good industry institute interaction to provide our students industrial exposure.
