NEP
Implementation of National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 at ARMIET
At Alamuri Ratnamala Institute of Engineering and Technology (ARMIET), Shahapur, the implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 is driven by our commitment to providing multidisciplinary, experiential, skill-oriented, and industry-relevant education. Our academic ecosystem empowers students to become innovative engineers, entrepreneurs, researchers, and responsible global citizens through outcome-based learning and practical exposure.
To translate the vision of NEP 2020 into meaningful student experiences, ARMIET has established a vibrant network of technology-driven student clubs and Centres of Excellence that promote innovation, creativity, problem-solving, and interdisciplinary learning.
AR/VR Lab Facility
The AR/VR Lab Facility enables students to explore immersive technologies through the development of virtual laboratories, digital twins, industrial simulations, educational applications, and interactive learning environments. The club enhances experiential learning by integrating emerging technologies into engineering education and aligns with the NEP 2020 emphasis on technology-enabled education and innovation. Research increasingly highlights the role of AR/VR in strengthening experiential learning and engineering education.
Drone Technology Club
The Drone Technology Club provides hands-on training in drone design, assembly, programming, simulation, and flight operations. Students gain practical exposure to applications in precision agriculture, surveying, mapping, disaster management, infrastructure inspection, logistics, and aerial imaging while developing skills aligned with India’s growing UAV ecosystem.
Internet of Things (IoT) Club
The IoT Club encourages students to design and develop smart devices and connected systems using sensors, embedded systems, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence. Projects focus on smart homes, industrial automation, agriculture, healthcare, environmental monitoring, and smart city applications, preparing students for Industry 4.0.
Electric Vehicle (EV) Club
The EV Club promotes innovation in sustainable mobility by engaging students in electric vehicle design, battery management systems, motor control, charging infrastructure, vehicle diagnostics, and energy-efficient transportation technologies. The club supports India’s transition towards clean and green mobility.
Elevator Technology Club
Established in collaboration with industry, the Elevator Technology Club offers practical learning in elevator installation, maintenance, safety systems, automation, controls, and vertical transportation technologies. The club bridges the gap between academic learning and industrial practices while enhancing employability in the infrastructure sector.
Cyber Security Club
The Cyber Security Club develops competencies in ethical hacking, cyber defence, digital forensics, network security, cloud security, secure software development, and information assurance. Through workshops, competitions, and hands-on laboratories, students acquire the skills required to safeguard digital infrastructure in an increasingly connected world.
Industry Internships and Experiential Learning
In alignment with NEP 2020, ARMIET integrates internships, industrial visits, live projects, community engagement, innovation challenges, and skill certification programmes into the academic framework. Students are encouraged to work with industries, startups, research organizations, and technology partners to gain real-world exposure and practical competence. Engineering education across India is increasingly integrating industry experiences more deeply into academic programmes to strengthen employability and innovation.
Our Commitment
Through these initiatives, ARMIET is creating a dynamic learning ecosystem where students learn by designing, building, experimenting, innovating, and solving real-world problems. By integrating advanced technologies, multidisciplinary collaboration, entrepreneurship, research, and industry partnerships, the Institute is committed to fulfilling the vision of NEP 2020 and preparing graduates who are globally competent, socially responsible, and future-ready.
