ARMIET, Alamuri Ratnamala Institute of Engineering and Technology, Shahapur, District
Thane has received the honor of being adjudged the best Engineering College.
‘Prime Time’, according to the survey conducted by this institution, ARMIET, the Engineering
College at Shahpur has been adjudged to be the Best Private Engineering Institute of Thane
ARMIET also encourage its students in interacting with the industry, by attending expert
lectures, field/industrial visits, short term internships / on the job trainings, projects under
Institute-Industry partnership etc.
ARMIET faculty members are mostly from premier institutions of India like IITs / NITs etc.
They are further groomed and encouraged to adopt modern techniques of teaching like by
teaching with the aid of pre-designed PPTs. ARMIET is also adopting teaching by smart boards
wherein PPTs of subjects and their chapter are displayed on the boards with video clips and
information available on internet. Various resources provided by various IITs and NPTEL are
played on these smart boards. Teaching in this manner is greatly improving the grasp and
technical depth of the students and they are being taught the same material as in an IIT / NIT.
ARMIET has fully equipped laboratories in all the departments. To support the knowledge needs
of the students, we have fully computerized library with more than 27000 books, all important
international journals and e-journals and several national journals. With in-house Mineral water
plant, well equipped canteen, campus-wide CCTV and wi-fi Gymnasium, sports facilities, there
is good communication and interaction of staff and students.
For the placement of the students at the end of their graduation programme, ARMIET has a
strong placement cell and ARMIET has several reputed firms of all the disciplines who visit our
campus. Special thrust has been given by the Honorable Chairman of ARMIET for conducting
special drives for Campus Interviews and more than 50 Campus interviews have been organized.
The prize distribution ceremony for this prize was organized in Delhi, where a number of
dignitaries and personalities were present. This prize was given by Member of Parliament
Mr Kirti Azad to the Alternate Chairman of the College Dr Lavendra Bothra.
